Long before the Outer Banks grew into the year-round coastal community it is today, JK’s Restaurant opened quietly in 1984 and rocked the seasonal dining available from the spring to late fall by offering a fine raw product, introducing live wood-fired grills and laying claim to its local audience by staying open year-round.
A History of Fine Dining Tradition on the Outer Banks
Time has made such excellence and year-round availability more of the norm along the Banks, but anyone with long-time roots along these shores will testify to the fact that when JK’s opened over 40 years ago, the dining and food culture along these treasured waters was transformed and there was no turning back.
JK’s philosophy is to simply put you, the customer, first through excellence in service, in the raw product, and in the preparation of that product, and bring them to you with flavor and fair pricing.
What Sets JK’s Steakhouse Apart
JK’s philosophy is simple: put the guest first through excellence in service, excellence in the product, and excellence in preparation.
House-Aged Beef, Cut In-House
We’re known for steak because we treat it like a craft. Our beef is aged in-house for deep flavor and tenderness, then cut to spec by our own in-house butcher.
Mesquite-Grilled Flavor
Every entrée is finished over our cast-iron, wood-fired mesquite grill, creating a bold, signature flavor you can’t replicate anywhere else.
Fresh Seafood with Local Roots
We proudly source local seafood whenever possible, brought in fresh and served at its best, with preparations that let quality lead.
Wine, Cocktails, and a Proper Finish
A memorable dinner deserves the right pairing. Enjoy a full bar, an extensive wine list with options across price points, and house-made desserts and coffee to close the evening the way it should end, unhurried and satisfied.
